The week leading up to the start of the 2016/17 football season was a very exciting one at Stockport County Football Club. After a very good pre-season, the club’s Edgeley Park stadium had special visitors. Stockport based band Blossoms, who are named after a local pub and have a long association with the club, were in town for the highly anticipated launch of their first album, which was released on 5 August.
The band posed in the new Stockport County home shirt, sponsored by ESEM, had kick about on the Edgeley Park pitch and even got a tactical session by former County captain and coach Mike Flynn on how to become legendary.
Everybody at ESEM wish Blossoms all the very best for their future, which music critics think is going to very bright and hugely successful. Their album went straight to number 1 in the UK Album charts:
